After much discussion with my fiancé Marc, we have decided to start trying to conceive our first child in the beginning of 2007. We are getting married in July 2007 and hope to be pregnant just before or just after the wedding! If all goes to plan, which in most cases, nothing ever goes to plan!
As a women who is about to turn 25, I have come to the realisation that I am not getting any younger. Some people are probably thinking I have plenty of time and don’t need to worry and everything will just naturally fall into place. However the experiences of my dear friend Rachael have taught me that when it comes to pregnancy, nothing is ever smooth sailing!
Rachael suffers from a condition called Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and has spent the last 3 years trying to conceive her first child. (If you would like more information on Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome Rach’s diary will be packed with information). After a long battle, she is now expecting her first child and is due in July 2006. Congratulations!
My daily blog/diary will revolve mainly around my preparation towards trying to conceive. My weight loss of over 35kg (77.4lbs), pre pregnancy vitamins and exercise, temperature and ovulation charting, pregnancy symptoms etc.
I will also include updates on my cousin in-law Helen, who is currently 4 days overdue with her first child!
I am so excited about trying to conceive and can’t wait to start the journey. I hope that all the preparation and planning will help me have a healthy pregnancy and a happy baby!
